Background

EDF was founded in April 1998 and it obtained official registration in January 2000. The organization has over the years experienced tremendous growth both in terms of service scale to the communities and institutional structures. EDF offers both direct and practical support in the above areas while maintaining a participatory development process. EDF has also successfully implemented various humanitarian interventions for refugee communities in Districts of Adjumani and Kyegegwa. HIV/AIDS, Gender, Environment and Climate Change are key cross-cutting issues that it attempts to mainstream in all her interventions and programmes. Emesco Development Foundation is today one of the active non-state development players in Uganda.
